Project Passion

Project passion double layered poster

Project Passion is an international juried design exhibition, hosted at Minnesota State University Mankato, that features the self-initiated work of graphic designers. All material for this exhibition was created collaboratively by the design faculty at Mankato: Bradley CoulterDavid RogersMatt Willemsen, and I. Because the exhibition highlighted the incredible work designers do off-the-clock we wanted our own work for the show to embrace a variety of materials and techniques that we were passionate about.

To generate excitement for Project Passion's inaugural call for entry, 100 double-layered posters were created and mailed to select designers and studios. The posters combine the use of screen printing, air brushing, and laser cutting. The clean, structured top blue layer has laser cut letterforms that provide windows into energetic red layer below. The posters can remain united, or separated to live on their own.

More details about the printing available on the For Print Only blog.

This poster was also featured in the book Look at Me! New Poster Design
